Welcome in Walschbronn
The confluence of the rivers and the importance of water in the village
Go down the street and turn right before the river to reach the footbridge over the Schwarzbach.
The Umbach, the Weyersbach and the Eppenbrunn brook join in the village at the end of the Rue des Jardins to create the Schwarzbach which flows into the Horn. Its average flow rate is 0.36 m3 per second. It enabled the operation of a washhouse, a mill and a cloth fuller in the 17th century and the floating of cordwood to Holland. It also forms the municipal border with Waldhouse in the so-called Im Brühl valley.
